Chaotic PatternExclusively Symphony, straight from the source

Developer Diary #3

We join Mario and Sonic on an adventure to discover the true meaning of Symphony.

Earlier today, I dragged Alistair and Scott for a round of developer death-match but since neither of them were particularly interested in the thought of an abrupt death, we had to settle for an on-a-whim podcast, or whimcast for short. The podcast is 60 minutes worth of unscripted chaos where all subjects relating to Symphony were discussed. Naturally, we left all the juicy bits to the end of the podcast.

A post-apocalyptic sabotage

“No, Alistair is not a cyborg; the memory buffer overflow did it”. That’s the answer to the question I anticipate will be asked at some point. If you don’t know what I am talking about, then I urge you to listen to the podcast.

Winners of the Noob Tees

Also on the podcast, we’ve announced the winners of the Noob tees! To spare you all the suspense, the winners are:

Congratulations to Nick, Mark and Michaël. Send me your shirt size and a delivery address and I’ll have them sent straight from The Big Noob factory.

When will Symphony 2 be released? I know, we have all been treating you Symphonian Ninjas as Cyborg Automatons that have diddly-squat better to do than to create a beautiful app for your followers to avidly enjoy. I am enthused to listen to the whimcast – I can’t conceive it, a whole hour of fun! You guys are the dopest ever!

Ok, let’s try something different then.

Is it going to be released sometime this year (2007) ?

And if everything else doesn’t work, we still have torture, don’t we?

Is it going to be released sometime this year (2007) ?

That’s our intention, yes :)

And if everything else doesn’t work, we still have torture, don’t we?

I think not having it release by this year would also result in torture.

How about Symphony Junior?

I’ve probably browsed and installed 50 CMS application, and started writing a half-dozen others. You have something very nice here; please continue to make releases and improve this CMS.

Using existing technologies is great. If the beginner documentation, and conventions can be improved, this will gain ground in a hurry. Keep up the nice work.

Damn right Symphony is nice, even with the few rough edges I’ve found, it beats every single CMS available today in terms of flexability.
