At the wake of a new era - taking my life by the sharp side of its edge, I took what can only be described as a leap off the remains of my existence to start anew.
The wonders of Symphony and XSLT, both of which is a passion of mine and by extension, to this site too. Here you will find articles on the love that is Symphony and the poetry that is XSLT. You have been forewarned adventurous reader, brace yourself, for the content may be sensually and erotically arousing if you share the same kind of passion for the subject matter as I do; but if you don't, then find peace that you securely stand amongst the majority.
On Allen Chang
In the off-chance that you are convinced you know me from somewhere, it's most likely from Symphony and Twentyone Degrees. I am the cofounder of a small design and development company known to others as Twentyone Degrees. The company is based in Australia, where koalas eat kangaroos and crocodiles rule the parliament. We've spent the better part of our sane time working on a system called Symphony.
Outside of work, I take time to enjoy whatever I dictate as entertainment. This may include, but not limited to, any of number of the following: finger exercises, hugging, aquatic performances, artificially induced ambient noises (must be in thirds) and anything velvety.
On Chaotic Pattern
Chaotic Pattern has been around since the very first day of its inception. It witnessed and survived the birth of the blog-era and was able to battle this pop culture phenomena by subverting it through a very active lack of updates. The strategy had deemed a rousing success and I, the content creator is enjoying the well-deserved fruits of such labour.
On Wordfest
Wordfest has been a long-running tradition on Chaotic Pattern since version 3 back in 2003. It is an optional game mostly for amusement but to also challenge the mind slightly. To participate, prefix [wordfest] in your comment to register your comment as an wordfested entry. The rules are simple, simply follow the rules mentioned on the "Discussion Etiquette" sidebar in an article.
For every rule followed, an award icon will be displayed against your comment. The icons are explained below:
All participants will earn this award icon.
Awarded when the designated word is used.
Awarded when the designated starting phrase was used.
Awarded when no letters in words equal to the designated number.
Here is an example wordfest comment with the following article rules:
- Use the word “prophecy” somewhere in your comment.
- Start with the phrase “Over the mountain”.
- 6 letter words are not allowed (this is hard!).
Example: [wordfest] Over the mountain I see a goat, a sheep and a land-walking dolphin. The prophecy has come true! Today must be the day Symphony 2 is released.
